  Welcoming pub but girl behind bar very unfriendly spent more time chatting her boyfriend up than serving .. food was obviously microwaved as plate was burning hot along with my salad..

  We managed to catch the chef before he shut the kitchen at about 8.55. The food we ordered arrived quickly and what a fantastic steak. 16oz rump steak seved on a sizzling skillet...for £9....excellent. Cooked to perfection and succulent.
  Fully recommend this pub.
  
  Also ate here at lunch time and the light meals we had were prepared just as good.
  
  Good food and ale.
  
  Great Pub.
